Coach Bryan Lynton:
Attended Rowland HS, Citrus College, Long Beach State B.S. Physical Education, San Diego State (Teaching Credential), Chapman University, M.A. Education.
13 years as a Varsity Head Coach. Assistant Coach at Rowland HS, 2 years, Head Coach Boys and Girls, Hemet HS, 3 years, Currently Boys and Girls Varsity Coach at Murrieta Valley HS, entering 9th season.
Many of his athletes have moved on to play Division 1, 2, and 3 water polo in college. Current HS coach record is 432-133. Coached several HS All- Americans and All CIF players. Boys Senior IE All-star team Coordinator & Head coach for 5 years. ' '06 Girls SoPac zone coach. / '08 Junior Nation Zone Coach
4 Time CIF Coach of the Year, CIF Coaches Advisory commitee.
Coach Brett Lynton,
Played water polo and swam 4yrs at Rowland High, then 2yrs at Citrus College.
Awards: Set swimming records in the 200 & 100 Butterfly. In Water Polo: set record at Citrus College for Most Quarters played in 2yrs, plus set record for Most Offensive.
Coaching Career: Head Coach at Rowland High club; age group for 2 yrs
Head Coach at Brea Olinda club; age group for 2 yrs.

Coach Jacob Medina
Jacob Medina enters his 4th year as the head coach of the CBU women’s water polo program and the assistant to the CBU men’s water polo program & we welcome him as he joins our team of Elite program coaches.
Medina spent the 2006 season as the men’s water polo head coach at Miramar Junior College in San Diego, Calif. He also has been a coach for the North San Diego Stars Water Polo Club since 2002.
In addition to his duties at Miramar, Medina spent six seasons as an assistant men’s and women’s water polo coach at Vista (Calif.) High School where he helped lead the girl’s program to an Avocado League championship and an appearance in the CIF-San Diego Section finals in 2006.
Medina earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Redlands in 2004 in addition to a master’s degree in physical education from Azusa Pacific in 2007. He is also certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
As a player at Redlands, he earned NCAA Academic All-America Honors. He also played two seasons at Palomar Junior College, earning All-Pacific Coast Conference honors.
Medina married Ashley Baldridge July 18, 2008, and they have a three-year-old daughter named Eva and just had their second child,Marley, in May 2009.
Coach Michael Gonzalez,
Coach Gonzalez started playing water polo in the 7th grade at Tustin High School. Graduated from Tustin in 1992 and continued his eduaction and playing and playing polo at Santa Ana Junior College, then UCSB. Coach Gonzalea has 10 years of coaching experiece and currently the assistant Varsity coach For both boys and girls at MVHS.
Coach Kylander,
Coach Kylander comes to Elite with 16 years of coaching experience & 18 years of teaching under his belt. He has had the opportunity to coach Water Polo, Football and Track. Coach Kylander is an asset to our club and is doing great with the youth team.
He has a lovely wife, Annette who also teaches and coaches, two sons Josh and Caleb & two daughters, Kirra and Torrey.
When Coach Kylander is not coaching, he enjoys Triathlons, cycling , swimming and watching his girls Kirra and Torrey play polo in College.
Coach Annette Kylander,
Coach Annette is a physical education teacher with 20 years experience. She has been coaching for the past 11 years, 9 of which she coached at Mesa Aquatics (previously Murrieta Marlins). We are grateful to have had her join our Elite Team this past year to coach our little ones. Her Husband Todd, and daughters Kirra & Torrey also are apart of our Elite family. The family that plays together, stays together!

Coach Trent Virgil
Trent started playing Waterpolo at age 10 for Elite. He letttered in Varsity Waterpolo and Swimming his freshman year. He was honored with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the JV Damien Tourneyment in 2008, and Best Offensive Player award in the Mater Dei JV Waterpolo tourneyment in 2008. In 2009 he made the 2nd Team all CIF, and has made the Southern Pacific Zone team (2nd team) two years in a row.
